Hailed as, ‘the soul of golfing in Barbados for local players as well as hotel guests and visitors cruising through the Caribbean’, this course has maintained steady patronage over the years. The Barbados Golf Club has hosted The Barbados Open on several occasions and can boast of having received international approval and sanction by the PGA European Tour. As a result, the course even hosted a PGA Seniors Tournament in 2003.
The course is picturesque and the ideal tropical surroundings are the perfect backdrop for the environmentally conscious design specifications of Ron Kirby. He is noted as, one of the most respected and experienced golf course architects in the world. The course owners are particularly proud of the fact that he redesigned the course to produce a fair, challenging and pleasurable game for golfers at all levels of skill and competence.
