Since his first public performance in 2006, Angelo Lascelles has established himself as a passionate and versatile actor who has always been determined to take risks. During his short career, Angelo has used his background in theatre for customer service training, public service announcements as well as health campaigns. His recent credits include but are not limited to:‘Sounds of Resistance: Echoes of Change’ (2015), ‘Simba’s Pride’ (2015) and ‘From Bussa to Barrow and Beyond’ (2016). Within very recent times, Angelo has immersed himself in film and is intent on embracing this medium for performance.
Ishiaka McNeil in various roles
Ishiaka has been a part of the Laff-it-Off family from 2002 bringing loads of laughter to audiences every year. The jovial, energetic, talented and versatile actor and singer has appeared in a number of other productions spanning 18 years. These productions include 'Talk Tent 97', 'Man Over Board' a tribute to Lord Admiral Vernon Watson of the Land Ship, 'Julius Caesar' (Stage one Theatre Productions), 'S.E.X Stories Exchange' (Cross Caribbean Productions), 'Blessed' (UWI), 'Praise Song for Burgie' (Carifesta, 2006) and 'The It So Happen Suite' (Diasporic Arts Productions, 2010). He has also appeared on the Discovery Channel’s 'Locked up Abroad'.
Janine White in various roles
Janine is an avid writer of poetry, short stories, plays and dramatic presentations. She is a banker by profession but enjoys time on stage as a performer. In 2014 she was selected to perform with Laff-it-Off and performed with the team at the Laff Out Loud Caribbean comedy show and also at the Laff-it-Off Road Show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Peta Alleyne as Wilhemina Herrassofat
For 28 years, veteran actress Peta Alleyne has been synonymous with the character Wilhelmina Herassofat, bringing her alive effortlessly year after year whenever Laff-it-Off is staged. Peta knows the power of words and since 1988 she has been using them to make people laugh and to uplift their spirits. As Laff-it-Off starts its 32nd year of providing quality entertainment, she is glad to be a part of a cast and crew that has given her a lifetime of memorable and rewarding moments on stage and with God’s help she will continue to do so for many years to come.
Toni-Ann Johnson in various roles
Appearing in every production since 2008, Toni-Ann's acting career began five years prior - in 2003- when she applied to the Barbados Community College to do her Associate Degree. Since then she has appeared in productions such as “Rise up My Children” (Tugce), “The Amen Corner” (Sister Moore), “Precious” (a maid) and as Elmina and various other characters in “The It So Happened Suite” in 2010. She has also appeared on screen in the 2010 Secrets as Dr. Paula Mitchell and played a role of a prisoner on National Geographic’s “Locked up Abroad” and last year she won the Best Actress award in the 48-hour film challenge which forms part of the BimFilm Festival, for the movie "In Dependence".
