Shopping in Bridgetown is not limited to the luxuries of Broad Street. Many stores in Swan Street and other streets offer the latest in fashion trends and accessories at unbelievable bargains catering to all budgets. Not to be left out is the Arts & Craft Centre at Pelican Craft Centre. Pelican Craft Centre is located on the main road near the Deep Water Harbour just outside the main shopping district in Bridgetown. With 25 shops and countless workshops, a visit to the Pelican Craft Centre is definitely a must. On display and also available for purchase are various craft items such as glass designs, wood work designs, locally made cigars, paintings and so much more, all locally made. The Centre is very well appointed with air-conditioned shops, facilities for the physically or mobility challenged, parking and wash rooms.
The South Coast of the island is not to be left out, although known for its fantastic restaurants, there are plenty of areas to shop as well. The most popular malls and complexes include: the Vista Complex located in Worthing, Quayside Centre, Sheraton Mall and the recently opened Lanterns Mall (home to the only Subway restaurant on the island).
Sheraton Mall, just off the ABC Highway in Christ Church, is fully air-conditioned and houses over 120 specialty stores, an elegant food court and a brand new cineplex with 6 movie theatres and a VIP movie theatre.
West Coast shopping possibly offers the most varied shopping outside of Bridgetown. Athough it features many duty-free stores that are similar to Bridgetown, styles may vary. The Limegrove Lifestyle Centre, located in Holetown opened in December 2010. The Centre is slated to take high-end shopping to the next level, with over one hundred luxury stores including flagship stores such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Cartier, and Piguet to name a few.
