BMHS Exhibition - Leviathan: The Story of Shore Whaling in Barbados

The Barbados Museum and Historical Society presents a new exhibition entitled Leviathan: The Story of Shore Whaling in Barbados.

This exhibition reveals little-known information about the local shore whaling industry, allows individuals to get a sense of the adventure of a whale hunt and showcases the skeleton of a whale that was stranded on the shores of Barbados in the 1960s.
 
The exhibition is supported by the Nation Publishing Company Limited and Harris Paints.

Remember admission to the Museum is free for locals and all other Caricom nationals.

Opening hours for this exhibition at the Barbados Museum are: 
Monday to Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and 
Sunday 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm

The exhibition runs until September 15, 2013
